Orchestra Iowa Presents Pied Piper Concerts at the Cedar Rapids Public Library

11007848_1408017272838795_325958128_nThe sounds of woodwind instruments will fill the Whipple Auditorium at the downtown Cedar Rapids Public Library the first week of March. The talented woodwind musicians from Orchestra Iowa will present a special chamber concert just for children and families on Thursday, March 3, and Friday, March 4.

“Chamber music concerts like this are the perfect opportunity to introduce your child to music,” said Dara Schmidt, Cedar Rapids Public Library Director. “They have the opportunity to learn about each instrument and hear the different sounds they make. And these concerts are designed for children, so parents and caregivers don’t have to worry about their child sitting still the entire time. There’s interaction and fun throughout the entire performance.”

Pied Piper Concerts are free to everyone. No tickets are necessary but everyone is encouraged to register in advance by calling (319) 366-8206.
