If you have visited the library’s web page in the last few days, you will have noticed some changes. On October 1 we launched a new website designed with you–the user–in mind. It is our hope that you will be able to find what you are looking for more easily, as well as discover all the resources and services we have to offer. Let us know what you think of the site and how we can make it better for you.
The website is only one change coming to the CRPL in the next few months. In order to better serve our customers, we are doing some rearranging at the CRPL West. New automation will be brought into the library, including self-check machines that allow you to check out a number of items all at once. We hope to make the transition as seamless as possible, but recognize there are bound to be challenges. Please bear with us while we make this change to our space. The end result will be a library that is easier for you to get in and out of, as well as one that is more efficient and allows our staff to be out on the floor working with customers or planning programs.
Library director Bob Pasicnyuk reminds us that it isn’t the end result that people find difficult; it’s the transition. We hope to make that as easy and painless as possible.
