Connect with the Cedar Rapids Public Library  (CRPL) is an informational blog dedicated to the construction of the new downtown Library.

The CRPL encourages users to submit comments on blog posts subject to the guidelines set forth below, which may be updated from time to time by the CRPL without providing notice.

Users understand that any views they post are their own. The CRPL is not responsible for the content of any external sites or comments referenced. If you think any content posted violates the guidelines set forth below, then please alert the Library.

Comments will be open to all users on most blog posts, as appropriate, with submission of user names and e-mail addresses optional. Comments will be moderated, however, by designated CRPL blog managers. Commentary, opinion, and reaction to posts are welcome and coincide with the CRPL’s commitment to freedom of information, although the following guidelines apply:

• Comments must be relevant to the specific post to which they are attached.
• Spam, flaming, personal attacks, advertising, impersonation, harassment, inappropriate links, use of personal Library staff/faculty names in users’ posts, obscenities, and off-topic comments are not permitted.
• The Cedar Rapids Public Library reserves the right not to post any comment, and/or to later remove it.

The mission of the Cedar Rapids Public Library is to provide a complete spectrum of information to the community through a variety of materials, appropriate technology and a well-trained staff.
